THE PHOTOS: In our photos, you will see a black grid overlaid on the leather hide. Each square is 12x12 or 1 square foot. We know this photo is a little bizarre but the goal is to help you see just how big the usable piece of leather is. We know it’s different but we think the way everyone else sells leather is silly. You deserve to see the piece of leather you are interested in buying.

SHIPPING: Depending on the thickness & finish of the hide, we may elect to ship your leather folded to save on postage and keep prices down. However, many thicker hides or hides with a stiffer finish may be damaged if folded for shipping. In this situation, we will ship the leather to you rolled up on a tube and shipped in a box. No matter how your leather is shipped, you should open the box as soon as it arrives and let it lay flat for a few days.
What Part of the Cow?: 99% of our hides are "half hides"
Do you Offer Samples: For $5 we will take a very small trimming from any hide and mail it to you. This will be a piece the size of a silver dollar or smaller. It will be cut from the hide in a way so as to not reduce the usable square footage of the hide. Samples are shipped free.
