The fabric is in excellent condition, clean, no smells. It worked perfectly for the valance I made with it. The fabric washed and dried easily with no issues. I appreciate that it is not too shiny, but is a durable synthetic. The design is accurately described. I highly recommend getting samples for things that are important to you. The photos did not do it justice. The sample I got convinced me it really was the perfect color, and the design was better than I anticipated. In fact, my husband and I both loved it and there was no arguing about what fabric to choose. Win/win!
