dacron batting online
Buying Dacron batting online is the easiest way to give cushions, chair seats and headboards that smooth, plump, professionally finished look. This polyester fiber batting sits between foam and fabric. It rounds off hard edges, fills out corners and helps upholstery fabric glide on without wrinkles.
Why Upholsterers Use Dacron Wrap
Polyester upholstery batting adds loft and softness while reducing friction between foam and your cover fabric. That means less wear on the fabric over time and a fuller, crowned profile on seat cushions and back pillows.
Common Uses
- Wrapping foam cushions for sofas, benches and window seats
- Padding dining chair seats and upholstered headboards
- Softening outdoor and boat cushions
- Adding loft to throw pillows and pet beds
What to Look For
Check the loft or weight listed for each upholstery batting roll. Thinner batting suits tight, tailored pieces, while a thicker foam cushion wrap creates a rounder, softer look. Measure the width and length of your foam so you can choose batting that covers it in one piece. If you want batting that is easier to handle, look for a bonded Dacron option.
